My First Hanukkah

The holidays arrived and what to my wondering eyes did appear...eight nights of candles, presents and treats! My first Hanukkah was alot of fun. We lit the menorah each night and said prayers. Mommy and Daddy gave me a new book each night for 7 nights and then on the eighth I got a cool toy. Mommy made all sorts of neat latkes. She made traditional ones with applesauce - I liked those! Then she made some from sweet potatoes and on another night she made them from apples. I liked those best. We had the leftovers the next morning for breakfast and they were delicious. My friends and family got me gifts too! My favorite was a cool rocket car that lights up and makes sounds from "Uncle" Eric. I had a fantastic holiday.

Just a Little Off the Top Please

I go my first big boy haircut! My bangs were hanging down into my eyes and Mommy was too nervous to try and trim it herself so she took me to a special kids salon called First Cuts. I got to sit in a rocket-ship chair and watch Sesame Street and play with toys while I got my hair trimmed.

It was really fun.

I think the stylist did a very good job - don't you?

Thankful For My Family

Mommy says it's time to update the blog. We are behind because we were away and then we all got sick. In November we took a big trip. We flew to Charlotte, North Carolina for Thanksgiving. We visited my Great Grandma Mina and Great Grandpa Morris and our cousins, Paul, Chellie, Rachel, Tali, Jayden and Levi. It was a long flight and Daddy says we connected in Phoenix, AZ but I must have slept through because sure don't remember Arizona at all. We got to Charlotte very early in the morning - it was still dark. It was very cold compared to Southern California. I could see my breath in front of me. I was glad Mommy got me a warm coat with a furry hoody. We had such a wonderful time! I especially enjoyed playing with my cousin Levi - he's my size! After a few days, we drove 3 hours to Fayetteville (I slept almost the whole way!) to see my Grandma Toni, Aunt Vanessa, and cousins Seamus, Darby, Aidan and Bridey. We had my first Thanksgiving dinner with them. I like turkey!! And they had the best animal crackers! I played for a couple more days with them before heading back to Charlotte. My cousins have a train table in their living room that was just my size; it was great. I had such a wonderful time!
