Catching Up

At the end of May, right before Mommy got sick, she and I drove to Las Vegas for the weekend to see Grandma Toni and Grandpa Steve. I had a great time. We had lunch at the casino - that was pretty cool. The best part was bouncing on the bed. Right as we got back, Mommy got sick so she hasn't taken many pictures of me. I am still working on the potty training though.

Daddy took some videos of me playing in the tub.
Hope this will hold everyone for now.........

Where have we been?!!!

As you may have noticed, we have not been on-line at all lately. That is because Mommy has been very sick and for a very good reason. We are going to have a baby!! I am going to be a big brother!! Hopefully we will resume regular blogging soon and we will also be migrating to a new blog site to document our growing family. We will keep you posted. Happy reading!

Big-boy Underpants

As many of you may know, I am potty-training. This morning I refused to put my diaper on so Mommy said I could try out my big-boy underpants. I had picked them out myself at the store. They have Thomas the Train on them. Our first experiment with them didn't go so well for Mommy. She has alot of cleaning to do. We'll just have to keep trying!

A Special Mother's Day

This year Savta was here visiting for Mother's Day so Daddy and I got to treat her as well as Mommy. Elmo came too. We took them to brunch at a nice restaurant right on the lake! We got there early, so first we tried to feed the ducks. Someone apparently had already fed them and they weren't interested at all - what a bummer! When we got to the restaurant we got to sit outside on the deck. It was overcast but it was still fun!

Picnic Time

I have been pretty busy lately. First I would like to introduce you to my pal, Elmo. He and I have been going everywhere together lately. He is very good to hang on to!
I have also gotten very excited about penguins. It started with a cartoon, "3, 2, 1 Penguins," but now I point out penguins wherever we go. I really like them! It has been very warm here lately....in fact it feels like summer. We have been to the pool a bunch of times and I have been playing outside lots. I was having such a good time the other day at the park that Mommy suggested we turn it into a picnic. We ran home and got our stuff. I rod my trike back over with my sand-pail on the back. Mommy packed us sandwiches and one of my favorite junk foods - chippies! otherwise known as potato chips. I had so much fun eating outside on the blanket. How cool! I can't wait to do it again. We had so much fun at the park too. Mommy blew bubbles for me to chase and I got to spend extra time on the slides until they got too hot. When it got too warm we went home and took a nap. Maybe Daddy can come too next time.

A Lovely Afternoon Outside

Mommy hasn't been keeping up on the blog very well. We have been very busy doing lots of things, but nothing interesting enough to blog about! We took some time out the other afternoon to enjoy some wonderful, early summer-feeling, weather. We set up my soccer net and played in the front yard. I picked dandelions. Mommy blew bubbles for me to pop and I just enjoyed running around outside in the sun.

Wiggly Laundry

I love to help Mommy around the house. The other day I decided to take a break from the Wiggles and help her with the laundry - sort of....then it was back to the Wiggles. Enjoy my video!

Cooking up a great Purim!

This year for Purim I went as a chef. My Savta bought me the outfit when she was here visiting. I liked the apron, but kept taking my hat off. The hamentaschen was pretty good this year. I had a sweet holiday.

Playing....what I do best!

Mommy and I haven't blogged lately because she has been so busy with the MJAA Southwest Regional Conference. She's the conference coordinator and it's been kinda hectic around here. But now that it is over, things are getting back to normal. Recently Daddy surprised Mommy with a new ottoman for the living room that she had seen. I really got into it - literally. I do have to admit it's a great place to store my toys or just sit and read.

I have been playing more and more with my trains the last few weeks. They are terrific fun! I just LOVE Thomas the Train Engine. He is almost all I talk about. Here I am playing with my trains. I put the track together like this all by myself. Mommy and Daddy weren't even watching when I did it.

What A Pisher

Just a quick note to tell everyone the news. Sammy used the potty for the first time officially last night. He told me "Poo" so we ran to the bathroom and got him on the potty. A few seconds later he peed. He was so excited he clapped. He also really liked getting to flush! We hope he continues to progress...............

My 2nd Birthday

Wow did I have a great birthday! Mommy and Daddy got me a Thomas the Train bed.

It's great! I can't say Thomas yet, so I call him Puh. Auntie Ellen and Mommy and I drove out in her truck to pick it up. I love riding in the truck! Thanks Auntie Ellen! Puh is fast becoming one of my favorites.

Then I got to have a birthday party! It was a Veggie Tales party. There were lots of balloons - I loooove balloons and a cupcake cake that looked like Bob the Tomato and even some cupcakes that looked like the French Peas.
Lots of friends came. We had pizza and veggies and fruit. We played games and played and had a great time. I got alot of great gifts too. Saba and Savta sent me a red Radio Flyer tricycle. I love it! I rode it all over the house.

Thank you Auntie Ellen, Uncle Olivier, Marian, Eric, Emily, Bethany, Bill, Aidan, Gavin, Georgina, John, William, David, Marilee, Noah, Jed, Kitty, Dana, Scott and Ilan for coming to my party and making it so special. We love you all!

It's snow, Sammy!

This past weekend Daddy and Mommy took me to the mountains to play in the snow. I didn't quite understand why I had to put a big puffy suit (Thank you Aunt Vanessa and cousin Aidan!) on and I especially did not like the mittens, but I had a good time anyway.
We went to a special place where we could rides tubes down a snowy slide. Mommy made me wear my bike helmet because she is paranoid and insane when it comes to me; she loves me! I didn't like wearing that either, but better safe than sorry.
Mommy and Daddy couldn't really tell how much I liked it, but I didn't complain about going down the slides, just about waiting in line. I seemed to have just as much fun riding the conveyor back up the hill.

I think I would like to go again soon......................snow is pretty cool!

Visiting More Family

After we got back from Florida, we went down to San Diego to see my aunts and uncles and Grandpa Ken and Grandma Debbie. I had a big surprise.....my Aunt Kiki was there from New York and my cousin Brooke who I hadn't me before! Brooke is two months older than I am so I really liked having someone my size to play with!

I had a great time playing the piano. Mommy and Daddy agree that I am very musical. I also enjoyed playing with Aunt Dani and Uncle Jonathan.
It was great to see Uncle Barrett and Aunt Stacy too. I hope we can visit again soon.

Fun in the Florida Sun

Soooooo...........where do I begin? I was a big help to Mommy packing. I couldn't decide which train to bring. We got up very early, 3 am, to go to the airport to fly to Florida. I thought that was really great! I stayed awake the whole time until we got on the plane. I got to sit in my very own seat, in my car seat of course, instead of on Mommy and Daddy's laps. That was so neat. When we got to Houston we had a layover. We ate lunch and Daddy worked on his laptop while Mommy and I explored the terminal. I really liked the moving sidewalks. We rode them again and again and again and again. It was a 4 hour layover. I went back to sleep on the next flight and when I woke up we were almost to Ft. Myers. Grandma's friend Marsha picked us up at the airport. She had her Prius and we weren't sure we could get all our luggage and us into the car but somehow we made it all fit. We could have done a commercial! We then drove to the restaurant where Aunt Ya-Ya works and had dinner. Then we all went back to Grandma's house. I really like Grandma's house. I like playing on the stairs and playing with Aunt Ya-Ya. We got to spend the next two days playing around. Daddy mostly worked, but Mommy and Ya-Ya and I did some fun things.
We went to the Edison and Ford winter estates for their annual holiday house event. They light everything up beautifully and decorate for Christmas it is amazing!

We walked around and saw the houses, cars and even Edison's lab! So cool!

Grandma Toni and Grandpa Steve came in next and we had fun playing with them. Aunt Vanessa, Uncle John and cousins Seamus, Darby, Aidan and Bridey arrived the next night. I was so glad my cousins came to play.

We watched Veggie Tales and Thomas together and played in the pool.

I had so much fun.

On Sunday we got to ride in Grandpa Steve's boat and took it to a restaurant to eat. Daddy even got to park the boat. We went to the playground to play one afternoon.

Uncle John made sure I had a good time.

For those of you who consistently follow my blog, you know I am always on the look out for the best lawn chair. I continued my quest while in Florida to no avail. This chair did not meet my standards!

My cousins celebrate Christmas so since we were there we did too! We got up very early in the morning but that was ok because I thought the gifts ended when Hanukkah did, but I got some really fun things.

I got Wiggles slippers and Thomas trains and new pajamas! Too soon it was time to fly home. I had a great vacation!
