Party at the Lagoon

Yesterday after services we went to our North Lake Beach Club. We were at a party for our friend Lisa who is moving to Chicago. I had a great time watching the ducks, playing in the water and eating french fries.
Daddy first took me in the water wearing my floaty-suit, but the lifeguard told him all flotation devices are not allowed because they think it makes parents less vigilant.
So we had to take it off and I got to swim in just my swimmy-diaper. That was ok. I had a good time anyway. My friend Kitty was there and she went swimming with me too.

Later, I dried off and Daddy and I played ball. It was a nice afternoon.

Beach Day

Today was my first trip to the beach. I was so excited even before we left the house. I made sure that I was wearing my hat. I also got to wear my cool wet suit that Grandma and Grandpa picked out for me while they were here visiting. It's a gift from Ninette, Grandpa's sister, and her husband Albert. Don't I look cool?! I loved the beach. The waves were so much fun. I just kept walking deeper and deeper. Mommy says I showed no fear at all. It was too much fun to be scary. I did fall down a couple times, but it's just water! There is so much to see at the beach. There are so many people and boats. There were big pelicans. We even saw sea lions out in the water past the jetty swimming around.

I pursued my quest for the perfect beach chair and tried at least 5 differet ones.
Daddy took me for a walk all around and I played in the waves with Mommy. I kicked and screamed when Mommy said it was time to go. I hope she brings me back again soon.

August Update

It has been a pretty busy month so far. Mommy and I have gone to the pool alot and I play in the backyard with the hose all the time. Daddy takes me to the park after dinner most nights and we have doing some bike riding as a family. Not to long ago Mommy took the tray off my seat and I have been sitting up at the table like a big boy (mostly). Mommy says my table manners still need a little work.

Also, right as I turned 18 months I started sleeping through the night. Mommy and Daddy were very grateful until this past week when I started cutting another tooth and decided once again "Who needs sleep? Not me!" Mommy also got me a new toy that I like very much, a bubble ducky. What's that you say? Just watch the video!
