Memorial Day Picnic

Today was Memorial Day so Daddy didn't have to work. Mommy and I got up early and made cinnamon rolls and then got ready to go on a picnic. We packed everything up and headed for the north lake. We found a shady spot under a tree next to the lake to spread our blanket and eat lunch. We had all sorts of yummy things. I like to share. It was a beautiful day although a little windy by the water. I ran all over and Daddy had to chase me to make sure I didn't jump into the lake. (As if I would do that! Ha! Ha! Ha!)
Afterwards we walked around to the otherside of the lake to feed the ducks. Daddy let me help push the cooler. I am a big helper!!! There were alot of ducks. They were mostly mallards but there were some geese too. We saw a goose mommy and daddy with their 3 goslings. I had so much fun!

Mommy's Little Helper

Tonight I helped Mommy with the laundry. First we had to empty the dryer. I had some trouble reaching so I crawled in and took everything out that way. Much easier! Then we had to fold everything.
I helped take them out of the basket. Mommy put me in charge of socks. There's so much laundry! Augh!

Mother's Day

Today was Mommy's second Mother's day and Daddy and I wanted it to be very special. We got up early and made pancakes and gave Mommy flowers and a gift.
Then we took her to the Getty Center in LA which she has been wanting to do for a long time. You have to take a tram to the top which was really neat. The views are spectacular and the gardens are beautiful.

We took the Architecture Tour which Mommy found facinating - I just found more places to run around. There were several fountains - I love fountains. In fact I was trying to pull off my clothes and get into one that I found particularly inviting!
The exhibits themselves were amazing. Mommy liked the Van Gogh very much as well as the Monet. We also saw several Degas, a Renoir, a Rembrandt and a Manet. There was also a painting by a lesser known artist that Mommy liked but now that we are home she can't remember the name. We'll have to try and look it up later. All in all it was a really nice day.

Park and Pier

Yesterday Mommy took me to meet some friends at the Irvine Regional Park. Daniel, Josiah, Jonathan, Noah and even baby Courtlynn came along.
We walked and played at the playground, we had a picnic lunch and we saw some terrific animals. There were hundreds of squirrels, ponies and horses, and a peacock that came almost right up to us!
Then today, Mommy and I drove to Huntington Beach to see our friend Baruch's new store. We got an excellent parking spot - that's our silver PT Cruiser right out front. We shopped and walked out onto the pier.
I fell asleep on the way home. It was a good thing I got my rest because I got to help Mommy give the dogs a bath in the afternoon. I put on a swimmy diaper and we went onto the patio and squirted them with the hose. Mommy squirted me too! This evening Daddy rode me on his bike to the lake while Mommy walked the dogs there and then we fed the ducks together. We've had a very full week!!!!!!! (Also, Mommy is complaining that I have grown out of most of my p.j.s and we have to go shopping. Sounds like we have a plan for next week!)

Fountains of Fun

Today it hit 100 degrees so after my nap Mommy took me somewhere fun to cool off. She took me to the Irvine Spectrum to play in the fountain. I loved it. There were lots of other kids there too doing the same thing. I brought my bucket to fill with water and scoop and I ran in between the water jets. I was soaked! It was a great way to cool off! I hope we go back lots this summer! You can check out a quick video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQrU6WMLsyQ

Zoo-Monday

Today Mommy took me to the Santa Ana Zoo. We had a great time. Mommy let me spend as much time as I wanted watching the monkeys, which was a lot! They were swinging and climbing all over. I really like them. We saw some other neat animals and birds too, but I like the monkeys best of all. We had lunch and then went on a train ride. What a great day!

May Update

Well, here's an update........last weekend I went to a birthday party. My friend Boston turned one. He had great cupcakes. I fell asleep on the way home with frosting still on my face.
Now tha I am 15 months it was time for a check up and vaccines - one on each arm. I got Tweety bird bandaids afterward. I had a good check up. I am now 21 pounds and 10 ounces! Dr. Jim says I am growing up very well and to keep eating my veggies! Mommy took these pictures later that evening while I was in the tub.
This is how I feel about shots!
Mommy thinks I look so cute, Daddy should hire me for his customer service department at laptoppartsexpert.com. Can I take your order?
